Among possible activities on the farm – in addition to just soaking up the atmosphere - are hiking, swimming, canoeing, mountain biking and bird watching (125 species recorded so far). There is also a nearby 4x4 route - Bôjaanskop.

The district offers visits to thermal springs, ostrich farms, the Cango Caves, Seweweeks Poort, Groenfontein-Kruis River Road, the Red Stone Hills, Gamkaberg Provincial Nature Reserve, Rooiberg Pass, Swartberg Pass and “The Hell.” Another attraction is to try out some local cuisine at restaurants in Calitzdorp.

In 2003 part of the Landrover G4 Challenge was held on Die Poort Nature Reserve.
